Found: Modern apocalyptic kids survival

Been looking for this book for a while. I don't remember exactly when I read it, most likely at least 5 years ago.
A symbol on the cover was flaming and three pronged (not just a flame, more like an E, maybe turned with the points up?)
At one point the characters' parents disappear and they all hole up in a convenience store with some other kids, one person writes book reviews that have a hidden message to their parents in the first word of every line. At another point they find a pair of pink rubber gloves for one person and that improves their mood.

>1 waffle231: My first thought was Rule of Three, but I haven't read it in a while so I can't confirm the smaller details match. The Darkest Minds fits the cover description well, but it's not exactly a post-apocalypse book.

It is the darkest minds! I've actually been meaning to read that, I completely forgot I've read it before. Post-apocalyptic probably came from most of the kids being wiped out. Thank you so much!
