" but we should be releasing a completely new invitation feature this week.
"

From Chris http://www.librarything.com/talktopic.php?topic=23978#332879

Maybe in this is Tim's "We may have a major new feature tomorrow. The feature is in Chris' hands"

http://www.librarything.com/talktopic.php?topic=38234

I'm sure if you read that you'd be thinking Collections! Somehow Invites doesn't have the same appeal howeve nifty it turns out to be. I'm sure they'll manage not to do a ShelSPAMfre though.

The new feature is not the new invite engine. Tim is working on another major new feature (not collections, specifically) and we would like the new invite code to be available with it.

Huh. Does it start with an "f" and end with an "acebook"?

I hope not. What a letdown that would be.

Yeah, I'm not actually that enthused about it either -- but it was a guess based on (a) it's not collections, (b) it involves stalking your friends and (c) it's one of those things that's been talked about as a big huge deal for ages now.

It's not facebook.

Aw, can't you just tell us what it is? Pretty please?

With sugar on top?

And cherries! Or maybe accompanying brie?

As my mother was fond of saying, "I could tell you what it is but that would ruin the surprise."

Of course I never really cared that it would ruin the surprise because I would still be surprised, it would just be earlier than she had originally planned. I told her that. She was not amused. I was clearly a problem child.

But I don't want to step on Tim's toes and talk about one of his projects. I'll let him have the satisfaction of talking about his project.

Exactly! It's like pop quizzes.

But I agree that Tim wouldn't be amused.
