MBTI Training/Careers Question

Has anyone from this group gotten MBTI certification or been through an MBTI training program? Does anyone in this group do MBTI training or analysis? I would like to get more in depth MBTI training out of pure personal interest although it would be nice to apply it in a job, perhaps in training or analysis. I do not have an education in psychology or human resources, although I did take a course in organizational behavior and would like to take more. Any advice on appropriate training programs for someone with my interest and background would be much appreciated.

I can't help - but I do have a similar feeling that I would like to train - both for my own understanding and also potentially professionally.

I push Myers Briggs training in my workplace - happily they buy into it anyway.

I also have looked further afield into Socionics and to the work of Keirsey and Berens, and back to the source - Carl Jung. Fascinating, truly fascinating.

For example, what are the training objectives and how are they justified, how much time do people spend in training and are people taught in groups?

Our company provides an HR consultant trained in MBTI for any teams who want to use it. In less restrained times, teams could develop this further - looking at what each type brings to a team. We also have the ability to look at Belbin, which gives another, more work centric take on types.

If you wanted to broaden your training abilities Belbin is easy to use, and quite useful.

I ran across a Belbin test on the Web and thought it was intriguing. If I remember correctly, it focuses on different roles (coordinator, plant) that individuals serve in a group. Thank you for the suggestion.
