I am new to homeschooling. My son is 4, will be 5 in November. I am wanting to go through the book of Genesis with him and was wondering if anyone knows of good preschool material that teaches the cultural and historical context as well.

I am newly getting acquainted with this website and found your post. I have been homeschooling for fourteen years. Before that I worked in the Early Childhood Education realm, my area of "expertise" . I would say that the kind of material you are proposing to cover is not something I have seen marketed to preschool. That isn't logical, I know. The closest thing I found on my own shelves, was "Genesis: Finding Our Roots" by Ruth Beechick. This book could be used by middle school or high school students on their own. But YOU could use it as a guide and do what you are trying to do by modifying. Maybe try looking into the pages in Amazon? Hope it helps.
