I thought I'd start a thread to discuss the poll.
I'd not heard of the group before this poll. I think it's a neat idea for a group and is pretty similar to Reviews Reviewed, but I'm not sure it is similar enough to combine.
This group seems to be about debating the opinions voiced in a review. Reviews Reviewed is more concerned about the quality of the writing of the review.
What does everyone else think?
I'll post a similar thread in Reviews Reviewed.

No way!
The two groups have entirely different purposes. This group is to comment on the content of reviews. (You know, the "you're a bloody idiot because you don't like Twilight" kind of comments.) The "Reviews Reviewed" group is not content-oriented. It's purpose is to help members write better reviews, to polish them; it concentrates on style (grammar, spelling, how well you get the point across, etc.)
I have to say that I find it a bit rich that the person proposing the merger is a brand-new member of both groups.

Yeah, I think the polls and the idea of merging groups has folks fishing around for things to combine.
I think it's a darn good thing that group combining is not something that is wide open.

In fact this group was created quite recently because the Reviews Reviewed group wasn't adequate for the purpose of commenting on the content of reviews.

#4 Reviews Reviewed group wasn't adequate for the purpose of commenting on the content of reviews.
Reviews Reviewed has a completely different purpose, it is a place to polish your review not debate opinions. It is not a question of it being adequate .

>2 lilithcat: lilithcat. FYI, I have been 'watching' this group for a while and after I proposed the group combination I decided it would be polite for me to change from watching to 'joining' the group. I'm sorry that you see this as 'a bit rich'. I will now remove myself from the group, seeing as the poll is so unwelcome. Sheesh.

5> I knew that, I just didn't say it very well. Perhaps there should be a Comments Reviewed group.
Also, Tim has turned off the group combination poll feature for now.
