This book is simply a book with no real story line but for teaching about animals and counting. On every page, there is a greater amount of animals all that could typically be found on a farm.

One flea is joined by numerous animals and insects, all in sequential order from 1 to 12. The reader is challenged to locate the correct number of the newest addition. Eventually there is one too many...but maybe it is because of who joins at the end.

What fun! I really want to bring this counting book home to share with my daughter - okay so she is 16 and probably has different weekend plans, but she might still like it. Most counting books lose their appeal to anyone who has been counting awhile, but this should hold lots of kid's interest. I loved that the illustrations are almost entirely black and white yet the book is so vibrant and colorful. ( )
