( ) A boy and his mom deal with the struggles of family relationship. The boy doesn't under why the mom is always sleeping, always yelling, always watching her shows, and and never hurry up. He even try's to run away. He can't help but to come back and make sure his mom missses him. His mom seems like she has things going on that her son doesn't understand. I remember as a kid being impatient when my mom can't do things when I want. I would always fuss at my mom but I always loved her. This story is pretty relatable to a child mom relationship. The authors' illustrations perfectly portray that kind of relationship. Since reading this book I tend to remember a little more often to not demand things from my children while being lazy myself. Obviously parenting is not about letting children run the show, but it's also not about bossing the little ones around without regard for one's own behavior. I recommend this not just as a nice, empathetic children's picture book, but also as a hard-hitting, wonderfully short parenting book that gets the point across without taking 200 pages. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
