This book was a fun book about a seemingly though irresponsible little boy named Harry. Harry looked high and low for his library card. He thought a lot about the card and knew he put the card in a safe spot, but couldn't remember where. He then decided to go to the library and confess losing the card to the librarian Ms. Katz. She scolded him over losing the card. However, she decided to issue him a new card and would keep it at the library for safe-keeping. By the end of the story, Harry's Aunt finds the lost card that he originally put in the piano draw for safe-keeping.

This was a story placed in the present day and the child was faced with a dilemma. I really enjoyed this story and although Harry was issued another library card, he really did try to find the original one. It was quite humorous that Harry would look all over for the card, but he knew he couldn't get another book without it. The conflict in this story was believable. Harry knew he placed the card for safe-keeping, but the hiding spot was so safe he forgot where he had put it.

The book could be used to inform the children about their responsibility when signing books out of the library. Emphasis should be placed on the responsibility of signing out the book. In addition, the students could come up with a list of other rules the library has and put these rules in place to follow on library day.
