Summary: This book is about the history of Thanksgiving. As the story goes on it mentions how Thanksgiving became a national holiday. There is a woman named Sarah Hale and she was a very important person when it came to making Thanksgiving a holiday. It goes through Sarah's whole life and the struggles that she went through.
Argument: I really enjoyed reading this book. I had no idea who Sarah Hale was or how Thanksgiving became a national holiday. There were illustrations throughout the story of Sarah and Thanksgiving.
I think the purpose of writing this story was to teach children the story of Thanksgiving while working on their reading skills at the same time. ( )
