Two men exiled to an untamed land must capture love.

Ever since Cambridge-bound Colin Lancaster spied on stable master Patrick Callahan mastering another man, heâ??s longed for Patrick to do the same to him. When Patrick is caught with his pants down and threatened with death for his crime, Colin speaks up in his defense and confesses his own sinful nature. Theyâ??re soon banished to the faraway prison colony of Australia.

Patrick never asked for Colinâ??s help, and now heâ??s stuck with the pampered fool. While itâ??s true that being transported to Australia is a far cry from the luxury Colin is accustomed to, heâ??s determined to make the best of it and prove himself. Patrick learned long ago that love is a fairy tale, but heâ??s inexorably drawn to sweet, optimistic Colin despite himself.

From the miserable depths of a prison ship to the vast, untamed Australian outback, Colin and Patrick must rely on each other. Danger lurks everywhere, and when they unexpectedly get the chance to escape to a new life as cowboys, theyâ??ll need each other more than ever.

This was quite interesting and I liked both main characters (and the supporting ones too). It also gets points for being unique from the vast amount of historical romances I've previously read. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading others. ( )

See, I have a soft spot in my heart for Australia so I'm always thrilled to find books which are set there. The descriptive narrative is a pleasure to read - a slow unwinding of a tale that never becomes boring. More "tell" than "show" but in this instance it worked for me. Yes, I have a couple of niggles - the history isn't completely accurate and the prisoner's conditions, while well-described, came off much less gritty than reality would dictate - but all-in-all an enjoyable read! Honestly I cannot believe it took me so long to pick this one up.

Not as good as Rumpringa or Semper Fi but still so wonderful. Loved the time period as well...forbidden and criminal...yes criminal love finding a way is intriguing and while the emotional walls of dear Patrick were hard for sweet Colin to tear down their journey found them just where they always wanted to be. Beautiful story.

In addition to the amazing men in this book, our fearless female rocked it for me...I adored her.
