I liked this story about Dale and Terry, who hate their jobs, but when Dale unexpectedly inherits six million dollars they don't go all out and waste it. In fact, there is astonishinly little celebration.

What it does enable them to do is buy a bed and breakfast on a secluded island in Maine, something that will allow both of them to play to their strengths - and be their own bosses. Much of the book is about them settling into their new lives, dealing with setting up the inn and finding appropriate ideas to attract more guests. It's only an unexpectedly strong blizard during their "solve a mystery" weekend that adds some real excitement to their lives.

This is a nice story about normal people who remain laid back and realistic even though they are now financialy secure. That in itself is certainly unusual enough to warrant a book!
