The photos are great. That alone is worth it. The inside interviews contain interesting tidbits, and I learned things I didn't know despite how closely I followed the season. There are fun little multimedia bits, like scouting reports and tickets. The production values are fantastic. The writing is really the only problem I have with the book - it's just not very good. There are phrases and words repeated to excess, some instances of incredibly overblown prose, and one use of the word "perpetrated" that made the Hawks sound like they were going out to commit crimes in the night.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great book that's well worth it - and let's be honest, no one bought it for the writing. But would it have hurt to have spent a bit more time and effort on it? ( )
