We are in love with Zorro and Mr. Bud. ( )

In Carter Goodrich's "Say Hello to Zorro!" a family dog, used to his routines, is startled when a new dog comes into the household. Although initially disliking the other, he grows to like having a companion who he can enjoy his life with. I would read this to kindergartners, and talking to them about friendship, and how you know someone could be your friend. ( )

Zorro is new to the family, but Mister Bud has his own schedule that he thinks should not be disturbed. Through the book they learn how to coexist and then band together as friends.

When Mr. Bud gets a new room mate, he is worried that his world will be turned upside down. He is relieved to find that he and Zorro have many similarities which make life a little bit more fun! ( )
