Although this book was put out a little early to do justice to the full century it portrays, it nevertheless does a good job of the 93 years it does cover. All the key events and milestones are there, as well as the people, places, lifestyles and traditions that made the century what it was. And, it has lots of photos, which I love! This book is far from perfect, and in an "academic library" it could easily be considered unsatisfactory, however, maybe because I find it "quaint," I do enjoy it. ( )
