Another great book from Glynn...I can't get enough of his work. ( )

This third book really joins together the first two books and makes sense of a lot of things that happened in both. After reading this book, you will know why things happened as they did in the first two books. While I was happy to spend more time with familiar characters, particularly Reggie from book two, the storyline has shifted away from what hooked me on the prior books.In my opinion this is no longer the weird horror fiction that I so enjoyed from the previous books. This has become more of a fantasy adventure for me. It's not high fantasy with elves and goblins, mind you. But what started me on this series was the bizarre and weird stories, the dread of what lurked around the corner or the wonder at why things happened as they did. That's just not in this book. The Broken Lands gives you answers and drains the mystery out of the story. Some questions remain, but they are not as compelling as the ones that were answered.All in all, this was an enjoyable read and I can still recommend it to fans of the series. It ends with a promise of more adventure to come. I know I will continue to read new books as they are released. ( )
