This book has really scary snakes who are green and they steal blood. (

Truth: my daughter definitely chose this book because of the free Lego mini figure that was visible from the front cover. Despite that, she picked out a decent book on the basis of cover alone. The content is average, and only really only interesting to fans of the Lego Ninjago series, but the presentation is phenomenal. As is characteristic of books published by DK, the photographs and illustrations are gorgeous, the layout is attractive, the text is perfectly balanced with the pictures, and the sections are easy to read and find. The first half explores all the figures and playsets connected to the Ninjago story line featuring Lord Garmadon and his skeleton army, and the second half repeats the process, this time with the Serpentine adventures. Since my daughters are Ninjago fans, they not only enjoyed the Lego figure that came with the book, they also actually like flipping through the pages and checking out their favorite characters. This book is a good fit for our family. (
