If this book seems trite or threatening or silly, put it down and pick it up again later. There's a lot of rich material here, about human interaction, the importance of being understood, and alternatives to violence. The concepts and language are refined from the earlier book (Nonviolent communication), and the technique and approach have matured. Worth reading for anyone who has any sort of relationship with any other person. ( ) Living Nonviolent Communication Practical Tools to Connect and Communicate Skillfully in Every Situation by Marshall Rosenberg, PHD This 170 page book was a real eye-opener to review because it focused on how to communicate with each other in ways that are filled with peace and compassion. I learned so much through the examples and personal experiences the author shared with us and it left me better armed in future situations especially in my relationships with my children and partner. There is so much good stuff here, I found that I did best when I took little chunks at a time. I would recommend this well presented easy to follow prize to anyone wanting to grow in their ability to share, care and be. Thanks, Marshall, I know I am a better person for having read this book.
