While I already knew much of what was explained in this book, the way it was laid out and the quick exercises to complete gave me a new, deeper understanding of deep PoV. This book contains tidbits that took all the puzzle pieces I already knew and worked with, and slotted them together in a way that has changed my viewpoint while strengthening my prose. Plus, being free on KU, if you happen to know everything already you aren't out anything.

This is a quick, powerful read, and I recommend it for all writers. ( )

Interesting and informative

I liked it. It was brief and to the point and easy to follow as well as understand. I learned some from it and am thinking about going over it again to practice the exercises in it some more 🙂. ( )

A basic overview of POV techniques. A useful introduction. It's a bit bossy. Writing has no rules, so stating guidelines as such might mislead some folk. Nevertheless, an awareness of the advice dispensed here is no bad thing. ( )

Jill Elizabeth provided contrasting examples of how to and how not to write. She gave many lessons that allowed the reader to apply the principles presented before moving to the next point.
The book was helpful--although short. I had hoped for a longer books---but once you say all there is to say, perhaps that is all there is to say. ( )

The examples were helpful, but aside from some prompts at the end of each chapter, it's not really much help in actually doing anything. It would be better suited to an exercise in a class, rather than something you do on your own. ( )
