This was a treasure to find. The book is fitting to the age it is designed for. The techniques teach more than basic art concepts and go a bit further allowing the child to actually be creative. The teachings aren't just for this book as it enables them to do the same exercises on plain pieces of paper or in a sketch pad. This book brings out the "you can do this, in a wonderful skilled way." The teachings relate to a young girl's world without baby talk but a voice that reaches them even at a young age. I absolutely love this book.

My granddaughter who is eight years old approved this book and wants more just like it. i bought this book to give as a gift. ( )
