It takes a fleeting moment where a girl visiting New York City and snaps a photograph into a whirlwind day of adventure, self-discovery and disclosure before leaving readers with the chance to imagine the delightful possibilities of what might happen next. A totally satisfying story. Over the course of one day, Sara and Sam open up to each other about the serious pain they are each carrying around. Unfortunately, the characterization is not developed enough and I found their tragic emotional burdens to be less than engaging. And the plot line that had them running all over the city was flimsy. Disappointing. Not what I was expecting but enjoyable nonetheless. From the cover blurb I was expecting a little fantasy element or mystery but it was actually pretty realistic. I really wanted to know what happened after the end but I don't know that I would want to read a sequel. I like how the ending left the story open for all the possibilities that the teens had ahead of them, which was one of the themes of the story. I liked the alternating view points but thought it was strange that the girl's was 1st person and the boy's voice was in 3rd person? keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

When Sam and Sara's paths cross, neither one of them is prepared for what they will find out about each other--and about themselves when they form an unlikely partnership in search of an elusive work of art, and especially when they have only one day to do it. But it wasn't bad, just...
I liked it well enough, but I can't say I would have miss much by skipping it over. ( )
