This is a very sweet and touching story about a cowboy, Boone, and his childhood friend, Danny, who is now a rock star. Danny urgently needs serious help from an abusive manager and Boone rides in on his white horse (well almost) and rescues him. The ensuing detox and re-acquaintance may not be very realistic and much too fast, but I liked the focus n how the two men learn to rely on each other, build trust and start a blisteringly hot physical relationship. Danny is so drugged out in the beginning, he barely knows what’s going on. To have his manager do this to him so he can earn (or rather, steal) more money is unconscionable. Interestingly, seeing Boone again give Danny the incentive to get away from it all, just for a rest. But once he’s clear-headed again he starts to really think about his situation. Boone is the stereotypical bull rider: physically strong, stubborn as hell, and focused on saving the friend he’s always wanted to be more than a friend but has never dared. Now that the time is right, he takes no prisoners. The result is a very hot relationship and lots of potential for more. Unfortunately, that is where the story ends. If you like cowboys and or rock stars, if reading about a ‘white knight’ recuing a guy in trouble is your thing an if you enjoy lots of hot man-on-man action with a sprinkle of budding love thrown in, you will probably enjoy this book. I certainly did. NOTE: This book was provided by Torquere Press for the purpose of a review on Queer Magazine Online. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
Boone doesn't think he'll find much on his Reno hotel TV, but he's looking for a little something to brighten his day. Instead of adult entertainment, though, he finds an advertisement for the headlining act at the casino, rock star Gerald High. Boone doesn't know Gerald High from Adam, but he knows the man behind the stage name: his old high school buddy, Danny. Lead singer Danny is a mess when Boone forces his way into the penthouse suite, not sure he knows what day it is, or even where he is. He remembers Boone though, the cowboy who got away all those years ago. Can Boone give Danny the merry Christmas he never expected to have? Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

Definitely it leaves you wanting more, an epilogue if not a sequel. ( )
