This short story/novel introduces Jack Wharton, his neighbor, professor Schnabel, who dances with a ghost, Clara, and Jack's crush, a girl names Tilly. The story goes on to show the beginning of Jack and Tilly's relationship. Overall it was a very cute story and I cannot wait to read the next story. Leave it to me to read the second book first but I had no trouble following the curious Jack Wharton who accidentally saw the professor dancing with a gorgeous woman on the third floor of his home, but the woman was not his wife! A Dance With Tilly reveals the struggles of Jack Wharton, a motherless teen whose left in the care of the family’s cook and chauffer by an emotionally distant father. Yet, Jack perseveres with Croft’s friendship. Innocent and full of sweet charm, Jack first meets Tilly Spence and is intrigued by her. Like a champ, Jack is determined as he muddles through youthful awkwardness to befriend Tilly. Meanwhile, Jack’s non-judgmental in his interactions with his intriguing neighbor, Professor Schnabel. The professor adds a fascinating paranormal element with Clara, a beautiful woman…a spirit from another time period. Mr. Kelly’s prose is fun and lush with charming, small town details. I look forward to reading Jack and Tilly, the sequel to A Dance With Tilly. Diese Rezension wurde für LibraryThing Member Giveaways geschrieben. The voice was right yo where you could transform yourself into the book. A short book that will make you want to pick up the next book in the series to read. Which I will be doing shortly. Enjoyable. Diese Rezension wurde für LibraryThing Member Giveaways geschrieben. This was really a short story and an introduction to the follow-on novella [Jack and Tilly]. I found both work to be interesting and enjoyable, even though I am not a fan of the host story genre. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
