This was fun, and certainly showed the realistically human side of science, but it left out the science bits.

In my opinion, this was not a good book. The information was very unorganized. There were bits of information scattered on the pages. There did not seem to be any logical progression or connection among the sections of information. I also did not like the "handy hints" that were given on each page. I felt that they were irrelevant and inaccurate. For example, on the page that discusses the plague, the handy hint says, "Avoid the plague and other nasty diseases. Stay away from cities where people live crowded together." I do not feel that it is appropriate to tell readers to stay away from cities. Disease can occur anywhere and visiting a city does not mean that one will contract a disease. The main idea of the book is that Sir Isaac Newton led an interesting life and is still known as one of the greatest scientists of all time. ( )
