I just loved this book.... the words are very simple and repetition is a plus for smaller children... to let the children know it is just a big jigsaw puzzle and the questions and answers are good.....I didn't know the fact about the tissue paper... ( ) The genre of this book is informational, although there is not much information inside this book. The pictures tell the story of a dinosaur whose bones were found, cleaned, and put up in a museum. There are rhyming words in this book, which would make it appropriate for a 1st grade classroom, and there are many facts about dinosaurs and paleontologists in the back of the book. Dig Those Dinosaurs Audio book that tells of when a scientist digs at a site. Tools they use: toilet paper, toothbrush and shovels. Lots of repetitious words but I can't tell what they are doing on the pages. Fossils including bones and dropping are located at the NY museum. I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device). DIG THOSE DINOSAURS by Lori Haskins Houran,Illustrated by Francisca Marquez is an wonderful Children's Book/Educational. Debut author,and what a wonderful job she has done. Well written,with engaging characters,easy to follow,rhythmical text and well researched. A wonderful addition to any library. Young readers are sure to be engaged while they learn a bit about Paleontologist. "Dig Those Dinosaurs" is a great read for both young and older readers. While,it is suggested for ages 4-7,I believe older readers will enjoy this authors insight and research into this story. Received for an honest review from the publisher.
