Korinne Anders had the perfect life. She has a loving Husband, her dream job and a beautiful home. But all that changed within a few seconds, when her Husband was killed in a car accident. Heartbroken, Korinne went to live with her parents, unable to face the memories that home brought back. She vows that she'll never love again, to avoid feeling that loss ever again.
Korinne decides that now, it's time for her to go home. Her best friend Jenna is determined to get Korinne out and having fun and takes her along to a party, hosted by Korinne's first love, Galen Matthews. Now that she's back home, Galen doesn't want to lose her again, and wants to be there for her. But Korinne is scared of falling in love, and going through heartbreak again.
In order to let Galen in, Korinne must let go of her past, and say goodbye to her husband for good. But when tragedy looks set to strike her again, how will Korinne keep strong?
MY OPINION
I got this book for free on my Kindle, and I'm very happy with it. Sometimes, you might expect a free book to not amount to much, but this was not the case with this one. The story was heartwrenching, the characters were kind, compassionate and realistic. Galen's character is incredible, he's so patient with Korinne, he doesn't push her into a relationship with him. He understands that she's been through a terrible ideal, and gives her time to let go.
THE AUTHOR
This book was written my L.P Dover, a relatively new Author, who mostly writes Paranormal Romance books. She has the ability to make you connect with her characters, feel their pain, and their joy, and for me, that's what every good Author should be able to do. I have another of her books on my Kindle, and I am looking forward to reading it. (
