Charming and whimsical illustrations follow a little blue whale as he satisfies his great big hunger with things he should not be eating, like mail or chocolate or a car. With each item he eats he gets a little bit bigger until he is too big to swim. Still, when a boat anchor floats by he can't help himself but to take a bite with fortuitous results. I can imagine little ones asking for this story again and again. ( )

This book is about a whale who is extremely hungry and eats everything in it's path until it is way too big and is not happy anymore. The whale goes as far as to eat an anchor!!! Luckily enough the anchor pulls out all of the bad things the whale has ate and the whale is now happy again.

This book did a great job of rhyming and really connected each page to the next. The illustrations were extremely cute and I enjoyed reading. The rhyming words are perfect for younger children and it keeps them interested.

The central message of this book I would have to say would be healthy eating and how eating too much although you may think you need it, is not good anyone! ( )

A small blue whale is swimming around the ocean, and he becomes very hungry. So hungry was he that he ate "A B C in braille", and a "bright red car". Even trying to eat his own tail. The things he eats becomes stranger. Until he is so big that he can no longer swim, and yet when an anchor floats by, he decides he "will give it a try", and swallows it whole. But the anchor pulls out all the food he so gluttonously ate, and now he is once again a small blue whale. ( )

A small hungry blue whale swims in the ocean looking for something to eat. But the whale doesn't stop himself from eating everything he sees and he becomes bigger and bigger and bigger, soon regretting his decisions.

This modern fantasy book talks about a hungry whale that eats anything in his sight. He learns his lesson that if he eats everything, he will keep getting bigger and bigger. He eats the most random things that wouldn't actually happen in real life. He ends up deciding to stick to just eating whale food, algae. ( )
