Team Beast

This was a great take on Beauty and the Beast. I felt so bad for Hunter, he thinks secluding himself is what’s best for the rest of the world because he has scars everywhere and thinks himself to be hideous. Gretchen can see beneath his insecurities and scars to find a kind and loving man. It was sweet. ( )

An interesting beauty and the beast type romance about Hunter, a disfigured billionaire who has closed himself off from the world for being ridiculed and stared at most of his life. He sees a woman he must meet who he overhears saying that looks & money don't matter. Gretchen is a ghostwriter who struggles meeting her writing deadlines and is offered a job of a lifetime to write a novel based on a trunk of historic letters found in a mansion. A few clauses in the contract stating she must live in the mansion for the month of researching has her kind of questioning the job, but she takes it anyway. Hunter has put this together to meet her and the book details the inexperience, struggles, deceit, eventual friendship to lovers plot. ( )

Secondo capitolo della serie e seconda coppia, Hunter e Gretchen. Lui un miliardario introverso e riservato che si nasconde al mondo e alle persone in quanto terribilmente sfigurato per le conseguenze di un tragico incidente subito quando era bambino, lei una ghostwriter simpatica, intelligente, vivace e impertinente; insieme daranno vita a una storia intrigante e anche molto simpatica. Mi è piaciuto molto questo libro, anche più del primo, per la forza dei personaggi che mi hanno conquistato perchè il vero amore non guarda in faccia a nessuno e non è certo la bellezza a fare la differenza. Una bella e la bestia in versione moderna molto simpatica e piacevole. ( )

Continuing to enjoy this series. Somehow they are just really readable although this one was pretty unbelievable. But if you like virgin heroes this might be right up your alley. And in a feisty heroine who chases him and it was a fun read. ( )
