Decent enough story, but the (wolf) MC's manner of speech and accent were hard to swallow, especially since he kept slipping in and out of them. ( )

Disappointing. I was expecting something more than endless sex scenes after Wake Me Up Inside... Like plot. Plot is good. ( )

It's cheesy and silly but kind of sweet, and was a perfect book to read after reading two depressing books in a row. I needed to turn my mind off for awhile.

I have a thing for forced mating/bonding stuff, it's intriguing to me - and here the author goes even further to take a very unlikely pair (Vampire and shifter). The shifter thing is odd, though, as he's never been able to shift until he meets his mate and is able to release blood. Wait, it's get worse - he makes extra blood considering who his mate is.

Anyway, once the two finally meet and stay together, the inevitable too-much-sex starts happening to the point where it gets dull and warrants skimming. The bedroom play wasn't that exciting in the book to me otherwise, except perhaps the first or second time. Still, I like the two together and it's a sweet bonding that made an easy read.

I will have to say I wish the author had left off the strange country language and terminology of the shifter pack, it's just not done well. (Clothes are over yonder...)

I haven't read the other books in the series. For this genre, it's a three star rating and recommended for m/m paranormal romance fans. As with many books of its breed, though, it's better in first half before it jumps into the too-much erotica field. ( )

I didn't connect with the characters. They felt underdeveloped and Ethan backstory was to vague to really feel his pain. There are plenty of how cute moments, but overall not for me. ( )
