First off, it is very wise to follow the warnings for this book as if you get even slightly squeamish with just thinking about torture and gore, then you do not need to be reading this book. This book will take you down into the depths of despair and could possibly psychologically mess you up as the story drives deep into the human soul while ripping out your heart with the gory infested contents within its pages.

With all that being said, the second book in the Hillary series is really the background story for what made Hillary become the stark, raving, lunatic she became in the first book.

I thought the first book was a step into gory infested terror, but the first book was mild compared to this one. It starts out with a seemingly happy round about family, but underneath the facade there is a storm brewing. Hillary's father is the reason for her becoming insane as he molests
Hillary without anyone else being aware of it in the family.

This molestation goes on for a very long time and even though Hillary cries out to her mother for help, she finds no help as no one believes her. She does not go to any authorities as her father has threatened her, so she suffers and suffers until she starts hearing voices in her head that it has to stop. When the voices start talking to her, that is when it all hits the fan and she goes on a revenge spree into a gore infested unknown spiral of craziness!

Everything you thought you could handle in a gore infested book will give you a test of just how much depravity you think you could endure. Even for a true blue horror fan this is a raw, gritty, twisted, sick ride of mental horror into the lowest depths of hell that you could ever imagine and if you are not a horror fan, then I would tread carefully as you will be wading through so much blood and gore, you will need a barf bag attached to your neck as you make your way through the chapters.

So read the reviews and the warnings before you embark on this crazy, twisted ride of lunacy as if you don't then you will be slapped in the face with a gory body part. For the true blue horror fans out there, buckle up as you are in for the most twisted, gory, perverted, immoral depths of a hellish ride you have ever encountered.

Probably wasn't a good thing reading it before bed, but I can truthfully say that I didn't have nightmares, so I guess that could mean that being a true blue horror fan it didn't affect me. Five stars for keeping me reading till the early hours of the morning.

This book recounts the story of a happy and thriving teenage girl who loved her life and her family until her father begun raping her on a regular basis. The book is very well written and is the type where you constantly wonder what happens next. It tells a story that is fast paced, smoothly moving through time periods and the thoughts, feelings and actions (and inactions) of the characters. ... Angel Gelique really brings her characters to life in a suspenseful way. She really leaves you hungry for "what's gonna happen next." Love her books, LOVE her characters, and love her writing. I was on the edge the whole time reading this one.

I loved the scary parts too... she really knows how to get your adrenaline going!! This book really grabs you and grabs your heart. I tried; I really tried to savor this one. I forced myself to put it down, even if in doing so I was torturing myself but I didn't want it to end. What can I say about this series that hasn't been said before? This series has jumped to a solid spot as one of my all-time favorites and isn't budging. It seems like every one just gets better and better, this one being my new favorite.

This series is amazing and I cannot wait for the 3rd to come out. Angel Gelique is amazing at what she does and has not disappointed me yet. I recommend this book for a horrifying experience.
