This was amazingly good. A few issues left unresolved, but still very good. And there was THE BEST surprise secondary romance thrown in. I stayed up late 2 nights to read this. ( )

I'm falling more deeply in love with Sylvia Day's novels. Her historical novels are by far the best I've read and I really enjoy reading them. This one was even better than the one before this and I bet they keep getting better and better so I will recommend her books to everybody I know and I will continue reading her books and hopefully I won't ever grow tired of her writing because they bring me so much joy!

I like this book characters a lot. I've always been a little bit different compared to others and was bullied for it so it's nice to read something like this even when it happens in the past. I like how even though they face so much trouble and rumors and dislike, they still stay together and they are happy and everybody accepts that in the end. It warms my heart really to see love winning in the end. ( )

Married so they could continue their love affairs, a tragedy inspires change, a fire sparks between these two. She fights because of previous betrayals but we all know in the end he'll win out. A little seductive coercion. Steamy, bodice ripper type

Muuuuch better than the last HRom I read of Days. Still, it started out strong and interesting, then after about the halfway point it seemed like most of the issues were resolved. The "dramatic tipping point" near the end seemed very contrived and I never appreciate it when strong heroines turn into watering pots that won't shut off. Overall just a meh kinda book. Might try one more before I totally make up my mind about whether or not to continue reading her stuff... ( )
