The following is full of spoilers: This book. OMG. I cannot believe that that this author made me fall in love with two completely different individuals all in one week. If I had had to wait to read it at a slower pace, it would have killed me. Thankfully I had the option of buying them on my ipad and reading them all in one night. The first book was amazing. I fell in love with Asher. And when I read the summary of book three, I was appalled to see references of a shifting of feeling toward Gabe. I fought it. I wasn't ready to give up on someone who I had fallen for so hard. But I couldn't resist so I read the second book. The second book was so sad man. Like bad things were happening left and right...and let's just say I can understand why she started having feelings for Gabe... But he was the bigger man and stepped aside for his little brother. And then the third book happened. OMG This book is going in my top three favorite books. If the first one was a 4 on a scale of one to five, and the second one was a three, the third one was a ten! I finished it at 1 am this morning, and then I went back and highlighted my favorite parts. That is how good it was. I am so in love with Gabe. Way more than I ever was in Asher, and I thought that was a lot. So officially Gabe has made it to my fictional boyfriend list: 1. Ian O'shea (The Host) 2. Gabe (This book) 3. Erik (Phantom) 4. Four/ Tobias (Divergent) and I could go on, but I just wanted to demonstrate where he was on the list. He bumped the Phantom of the Opera! No one has done that since Ian! OMG. Okay now I am done ranting and raving and hopefully no one reads this review and thinks I am completely nutso. Oh well. I had to get it all out. Unfortunately, I have not read the first 2 books in the series. And unfortunately you really should if you want to be able to follow along, figure out who the characters are, and the dynamics between them. It seemed I missed too much of the backstory to get really into this one, so it seemed like a slow read, that kind of slogged along, with bits of action, and then some more dialogue or reactions that I couldn't place in context.
