Besides the editing the book needs and the predictable "secret." it was a decent book. I liked watching Hailey figure out who she was and make a life for herself outside of Hollywood. ( )

I really enjoyed this book. I was attracted by the cover and it just got better from there. It has a nice steady pace and the story flows nicely. There is no OTT drama or angst. The focus is on the loving relationship and the growth of the characters.

Hailey is a young woman who is escaping fame and the trappings that go with it to try for a “normal” life and college education. She has been famous all her life; starting out as the Gerber Baby and going on to singing and acting. Hailey has been pushed her entire life by her mother, who is the one who really wanted the fame and money. Hailey is trying to figure out who she really is and what she wants to do with her life. A relationship doesn’t fit into her plans, but Caleb turns out to be too hard to resist.

Caleb is sexy, loving, tender, and solid. He knows what he wants and has the patience to wait for it and the understanding of how to fight for it when needed. He sees Hailey, not THE Hailey. Caleb is there for her from the beginning, letting her come to him on her own time. Proving his love and that he can be trusted by actions as well as words. Caleb helps Hailey figure out a lot of things by simply being there and accepting her for who she is no matter what.

Daphne is one of Caleb’s little sisters and is a freshman like Hailey. She is another person who accepts Hailey and they become fast friends. She is also very funny; I can’t wait for her story.

Overall, this is a great book with an ending. It is a stand-alone as the next book is about another character. I do wish there would be more for Hailey and Caleb. It feels like their story has just started and I hate to leave them. I feel I should mention that there were a few typos, but nothing that took me out of the story.

I’ve been eyeing this book for a few months now. I know they say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but I do. A strong cover grabs me, and I will often add it to my TBR without even reading the synopsis.

This is the story of Hailey Bloom. Haley has been in the entertainment industry since before she could even walk. She’s been owned by the world, and never done anything for herself. At eighteen, she decided she wants out of that world, and drops out of sight to attend college in Vermont. She is so unsure of herself, and doubt cloud her vision at every turn. Wanting a night out, she attends a party and she runs into Caleb Fox.

His tongue slides against me, tasting, seeking. He’s all I know, all I want to know, and I want him to know me in every possible way.

Attraction is instant between these two, but Hailey is convinced Caleb only wants her for one thing. She is treading on thing water already where her self esteem is concerned, and she isn’t sure she can take much more.

Words are easy; it’s action that’s always harder. It’s actually doing it and believing it.

Along with Caleb, we are introduced to his sister Meghan, as well as his roommates. This book is the first in a series, so I am anticipating future books starring the roommates. In Meghan, Hailey finds the best friend she has always yearned for.

Tomorrow. The tomorrow after that. All the future tomorrows. There is a lot to look forward to.

Ya’ll, this man is so…..just….whew. The words that come out of his mouth. He is trying everything in his power to win her over. She is so worried that everything in her past is going to ruin anything in her future.

I don’t even think of what I’m doing. I don’t see, and with not seeing, I can’t see if it’s wrong or not, and maybe nothing would be wrong with it anyway. Maybe there’s nothing wrong whatsoever with creating.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and the words flow effortlessly. I cannot wait for the future installments in this series!

This was the first book I have read by Elyssa Patrick and I can’t wait for more of this series from her.

This is the story of Hailey Bloom, who has been in the public eye her entire life. She has had enough of being used for fame and fortune and by her mother. One day she decides she is done with being in the spot light and just wants to go to college and have a normal life. She leaves her life in Hollywood and heads to Vermont to attend College.

Once there she has some short encounters with Caleb Fox and his friends. She becomes good friends with his sister Daphne, and his group of friends. As her and Caleb get to know each other she starts to be drawn to him, He is sweet, caring, romantic and wants to get to know the REAL her, not the star she was. Caleb is patient, but is persistent, and all he wants is to get to know her and help her get to know herself.

This story is sweet, the characters are all great. There is not a whole lot of drama, which usually I like to have some in a story, but this one was great the way it was written. Hailey does have a secret and that drama unfolds within time through the story. Reading it unfold and Caleb’s reaction to it all made me love his character even more.

If you’re looking for a quick, fun, romantic read then this one is for you. I look forward to reading the next books in this series and seeing what happens with them as well.

I sadly did not fall in love with the main characters of this book, I liked them but didn't love them. I don't think there was enough drama leading up to Caleb and Hailey getting together. Once they were together it was mostly unicorns and rainbows with one little dramatic moment that didn't last but a second. It was an easy read and had some interesting secondary characters that I would love to know more about.
Lots of hot sex.
Great ending. ( )
