FAITH IN YOU, takes off where Now AND ALWAYS left us. Connie, a FBI agent invites her single, lonely co-worker Paul, to Noche Buena at her parent’s house. Paul reluctantly decided to go to the party, knowing his own family will not be home for the holidays. When Paul arrives at the Gonzales household he is unfriendly greeted by Connie’s sister Carmen. Carmen can’t stand this man, her sister had very negative things to say about him in the past, so she wondered why he was at the fiesta. Connie reluctantly let Paul into the house. Soon after the sparks started to fly and the spicy Cuban girl Carmen could not stop thinking about the American Man Paul. Could Carmen see herself with this wealthy man? Could they get past their differences? She would soon get the answers to those questions.

I loved this book!! One of my favorite things about this book was being submersed into the Cuban culture. The food, music, faith and family. The description in this book had me humming the music in my head, dancing in my seat and smelling the roasted pork. I found myself cheering for this family like no other book I have read before. I wanted them together. I wanted them to overcome their economical differences. We were brought into the culture in a way we feel like part of the family. The parents have old school flare while the young adults are the Nuevo Cubans trying to fit into America but still keep their Cuban ways. For instance, by the way they play dominoes and speak the language with the family. This book was heartwarming and had me smiling, crying, happy and hurting for this couple.
