Picture book realistically addressing the diet of a bear throughout the seasons. Includes both prey death and scavenging, as well as eating insects. The illustrations are excellent and not scary or gross, and the repeating chorus about eating like a bear would make it a great read-aloud.

This book take you through the hibernation of bear. How they look for food, all the way to the cozy den they spend the winter in. Although this book is geared toward younger children, I think it is a good book to read to all aged children introducing hibernation. ( )
