I loved the characters and this author knows how to develop a character and story so that it all gets under your skin in the best way. This is not a series, but there are several minor characters that I would love to read further about. I know a book is great when you are not ready to leave them. I skimmed past the last 1/4 of this book. It was just so fucking slow and the chapters were repetitive and the plot advanced every 50 pages instead of every 20. Like, I know that Mariana Zapata is the slowburn queen, but BRO this was just fucking slowwww. Boring as. I felt as if the whole book and concept of slow burn has a plot of "the journey to the first time they fuck". Like, the plot just works up towards that moment, and after, the book has nothing left to give. Yes, it has this side plot with all the mafia shit, but I don't know if it's me, but I just wasn't interested in this whole Widowmakers Bicycle Club. Didn't really like this book, and it just might've ruined my perception of slow burn books. ALSO - the main heroine is an imbecile. Couldn't stand her inner dialogues. Just plain boring. This one didn't do it for me. *Grammar check, anyone? *Way too long. Slow burn is one thing, but could someone please fan that ember? *Too much preoccupation and whining about her arm. Yeah, stuff happens but get over yourself. Nobody is paying that much attention to you. *How many times can you say "sperm donor" and a few other not-so-classy words for body parts???? keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

He was my boss, my brother's friend, a Widow, an ex-felon, and a man I'd seen casually with a handful of women. But he was everything that gripped me, both the good and the bad. Worst case scenario: if things turned awkward between us, I could go somewhere else. I'd gotten over epic heartbreak before; one more wouldn't kill me. After moving to Austin following six months of unemployment back home, Iris Taylor knows she should be glad to have landed a job so quickly . . . even if the business is owned by a member of the same motorcycle club her estranged father used to belong to. Except Dex Locke might just be the biggest jerk she's ever met. He's rude and impatient, and he doesn't know how to tell time. And the last thing they ever expected was each other. Contains mature themes. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

I don't like that the mmc is mean to the fmc so often, and the fmc forgives him repeatedly. And I don't like that the fmc makes really stupid decisions that don't makes sense.
I don't like the audiobook narrator. I think she makes the characters seem more annoying with her voice acting. Which is a problem because almost all of her books are narrated by the same person. I'm so glad that Mariana Zapata is re-releasing some of her audiobooks with different narrators. ( )
