There's also a political and economic sub-layer, or, compare it to today's use of robots in multiple domains and how they replace humans, causing many to be unemployed.

For me, this was an entertaining story - which probably is or could be part of a bigger story - with some original elements (and an unexpected - well, it was to me - end), but as good as Kate Baker is (she has a soft voice, also very much suited for night radio, if I may say/write so), it's probably best to read the story yourself and imagine yourself which voices the characters would/should have. ( )
