The specific scene was one in which she and her BFF (an underprivileged, black, ex-football player - no stereotypes here) find themselves scamming in the ER. They are assigned a motor vehicle accident victim with blunt trauma to the chest and difficulty breathing. The guy nearly dies before they figure out it’s a collapsed lung. To further test your suspension of disbelief, when the attending ER doc shows up, he praises their keen diagnostic talents and asks if either would be interested in joining his team. More than once, she or her BFF consulted wikipedia for medical info. ... no, I’m not kidding. If that is typical of new doctors entering the field these days, I think I’d rather see a witch doctor or medieval leech.
