This book is a pretty good, standard, nonfiction book for elementary school students. It gives both pictures and words and advice on how to stay safe which is really beneficial.
I would use this with younger students as a supplementary tool in a unit on storms. It has a glossary and would be really beneficial for definitions and examples to deepen students' understanding of storms. (
