I wouldn't suggest reading this without also reading the other comics in the Blight event. I'm actually doing the whole Forever Evil event so this was part of it. The more I read Constantine, the more I like reading Constantine. It doesn't necessarily make me like him more, because he's kind of an a-hole (he's written that way, it's not his fault). The whole Constantine-Zatana-Necro trinity thing is a pretty cool plot device that adds a lot to the story and I'm just a sucker for anything with magic so I'm totally covered here. ( )

Who the hell thought it was a good idea to turn Constantine into an action hero?!

Some of the many problems in this collection: a story arc that has huge chunks of the story missing; characters appearing and disappearing with no explanation; a Constantine that is slinging around spells like bullets instead of conning his way out of trouble; and, worst of all, Constantine sounds like an American.

Honestly, I'd rather re-watch the awful Keanu Reeves movie than read this crap. ( )

Great fun, with lots of brillIant sorcery, morally ambiguous tactics and threats to Earth from magical sources. The Machiavellian anti hero John Constantine finds himself, as one would expect in a myriad of swirling plot lines and characters. Worth a read. Art in places, I felt could do with improvement. ( )
