Liz and Garret Adams are a couple with admiral respect for one another. The fact that Liz has some psychic powers is only one more reason for Garret to love her.
They sail from their homeport of Mystic, Connecticut to Key West, Florida for adventure. When they dock, the fun begins. The reader discovers a group of well described, interesting characters. Meg is a woman attempting to escape from an autocratic, abusive husband. She's a woman the reader will sympathise with. Jonathan is an old friend of the Adams' from Mystic. He's trying to understand how the man he loves can be interested in another person. The fact that this person is a woman, only makes it worse. Miguel, Jonathan's love, is attempting a scam that will enable him to live in the playboy lifestyle he wants.
I won't say more about the story because I don't want to reveal plot. However, I did find that the book kept my interest and the author did a fine job of not giving too much so we could identify the antagonist.
I also enjoyed the author's description of Key West and of the Catholic Church, Basilica of St. Mary Star of the Sea. ( )
