I actually read this book and was exclaiming, out loud, at some of the things that were happening in it!! It was horrific in parts but a VERY fast book to read because it was almost impossible to put down wondering what, on earth, was going to happen next! So, four stars for excitement even though I would want nothing this to ONLY be COMPLETELY and entirely in Gischler's imagination, based on no kind of reality. Not sure I really LIKE good ol' David Sparrow at ALL in the end.....or any of the people he was dealing with. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
"David Sparrow is an awesome stay-at-home dad. He gets his kids ready for school while his wife, Amy, commutes to New York City, where she was recently promoted to Deputy District Attorney. In fact, she just inherited a major case: prosecuting crime lord Dante Payne. Meanwhile, David is content chatting with the moms at school drop-off, making dinner at night, and doing housework. But when Dante Payne takes the fight directly to Amy, attacking her where she lives, David is forced to "reactivate" himself, revealing a history and deadly skill set his wife knew nothing about. And he'll do anything to protect his family. Part Taken, part First Blood, Stay is an action-packed, often hilarious, and hugely entertaining suburban thriller"-- Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

David Sparrow is a stay at home dad, recently put on leave from his job, while his wife is the new Assistant DA. When the witness for a trial against a local mobster, Dante Payne, is killed, his wife Amy is suddenly in danger. As it turns out, the job David is on leave from was a government agent who was a trained killer who smuggled assets out of enemy countries. He was a former Solo Ops officer, a soldier who was routinely dropped in war zones with a specific mission. David is now the only thing standing between his wife and the thugs that are trying to kill her, David and anyone else who might have stumbled upon some incriminating evidence. David sends his children on a trip to Disneyworld with his sister-in-law and brother-in-law while he and Amy go into hiding. calling upon some old army buddies to help him, he decides to take the fight to Dante Payne, not wait dociley to be killed. There is a lot of action and a lot of blood but the story is great. I am definitely going to look for more books by this author. ( )
