This book would be great for Intermediate readers
The book is about a grasshopper and a firefly that have dreams that they are often times dismissed for having. They interact with a young boy that also has dreams, but needs to overcome his fears to make them happen. They all encourage each other to achieve their dreams.
This book would be a good book for read aloud during snack or to have in the classroom as a free read book as it is a fun story with an encouraging perspective.

Primary or Intermediate, This book is about a little cricket and firefly who both have big dreams about things neither thought were possible till they met Peter, the miniature giant, and with the help of the river vole they were able to help each other and their friends achieve their dreams. I loved this book because it was and can be an easy read and includes a small amount a pictures. It was good because even though crickets and firefly's are considered small they decided being small in the world wasn't good enough, but instead they decided to be brave and adventure somewhere different and scary. I think this could be relatable in the world where dreaming big is a good thing. ( )

I thought this was a great book to read, the more and more I kept reading it. The plot was very well done introducing two characters with larger than life dreams and a miniature giant who needs some friends. The dialogue used in the text was very helpful in recognizing who was saying what because many different characters get introduced. I really believe this is a great book for young readers with a large imagination. This would easily cater to them. Overall, the main message of the book is dream big, no matter how improbable the odds are. ( )

A sweet story with gorgeous illustrations, perfect for a read-aloud to elementary-aged children. Cricket, Firefly, Vole and Peter are well-rounded characters, all with problems to overcome, aided by strong friendships. ( )
