It talked about different animals and things that were put in the white house. They also talked about different parties that they had and how it was built. I really liked the book because some of the things were about children. Also there was lots of funny things. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

The history of the White House, first completed in 1799, reflects the history of America itself. It was the dream of George Washington to have an elegant "presidential mansion" in the capital city that was named after him. Yet he is the only president who never got to live there. All the rest have made their mark--for better or worse--on the house at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Megan Stine explains how the White House came to be and offers young readers intriguing glimpses into the lives of the First Families--from John and Abigail Adams to Barack and Michelle Obama. I love the who was books and the show. This is my only “Where is” book and it’s my favorite and my least favorite. I like the “Who is” books better but this one was good. I love learning about history and if was a bit funny when one if the floors broke because some President's daughter’s piano fell through! My favorite president is George Washington because he did the most in the new government. He dreamt up the White House and we have kept it in the same spot for about three centuries.1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20500, USA. ( )
