Although this was a well written story, I was not a big fan of the whole concert/corruption/satanic plot of this book. This story picks up a few months after book 2, with Minty and Patrick now married and recovering from Minty's miscarriage by going away for awhile. When they return to Eden Hall they both will find things that need their immediate attention; Patrick dealing with his practice while his partner faces the death of his spouse, and Minty struggling with people living in and all around her Eden Hall, getting ready for a big rock concert.

Minty will find herself outraged and fighting for control as Lady of the Hall. There is evil within and defeating the forces of darkness will require courage and the help of her friends in the village and most of all calling upon the Lord. This story was a little too dark and evil for me, although in the end evil didn't have a chance when the Lord was on their side.

I liked the interaction and strong love that Patrick and Minty have for each other. There aren't a lot of romantic scenes throughout this series, but yet their love is a beautiful thing to watch. I will say that I was very surprised by what was revealed in the last few pages of this story; wasn't expecting that. Looking forward to seeing what happens next in book #4 of this series, "Master of the Hall". ( )
