Sam is willing to do anything for her husband, Mike and that includes catering to his desires and preferences in the bedroom. Sam tries to understand how the demands of her husband's job as a police officer could cause the needs that he experiences. She agrees to bring another man into their bedroom, but she could not have anticipated what this would do to their marriage.
Crosstown Crush is well-written with believable dialogue. However, the consequences of this type of relationship are barely explored and the ending seems a little too convenient. A longer story with more in-depth characterization would have been an improvement. The book is classified as contemporary romance, but would have been more suited as erotica. ( )

There are some books that are just too dirty for my taste and this was one of them.

I made it about halfway through before I decided that I could no longer finish. It wasn't technically the writing that steered me away... it was more the content. I've read erotica before, but this was unlike anything I've ever read... I felt disgusted at times and completely overwhelmed by the feeling that I shouldn't be reading such a story.

The whole premise intrigued me, but the execution was just too much. I never expected such vivid sex scenes with such over the top acts. The whole play by play after these "other men" was just too unbelievable. Knowing that the men were non existent just completely turned me off. I couldn't imagine how a man could get off on lies and it was all a tad bizarre until Bern entered. He brought a lot to the story, but the husband lingering around and liking "seconds" was just a oh hell no for me.

I am giving it 3 stars because of Bern and the writing. I really liked his character and the writing was really good. I would definitely read a different book by this Author, but this one was just not for me. ( )
