This was well received at story time today. Kind of a bigger hit with the parents than the kids. My story timers are in the 3 year old range and this would probably play better with 4 or 5 year olds. Still I liked it. The story was cute and the idea that you can be born a cartoon super villain was fun. And that it's pretty normal. I loved how his parents were bewildered by him but loved him anyway which is a good message. ( )

By far the best super villain picture book I've run across -- which, to be honest, is not an area with a lot of stiff competition. However, this one is pretty dang hilarious, full of double-crossings, and entertaining in plot. ( )

This book is about a boy who thinks he is the best villain of them all. That all changed when he meets a girl at school who seems just as evil. They end up having a contest to see who is the most evil of all. I would read this book to second graders. ( )

This story is a cute children's book about a super villain child named Dylan who believes he is the baddest super villain in the world, until he meets his classmate, Addison Van Malice. This story shows competition between two students that triggers intrinsic motivation for a science project. This could be introduced to students when talking about competition, fantasy, or the subject of science. Through creating an evil plan, Dylan manages to win the first place prize by playing unfairly and ends up paying a consequence. This book teaches creativity, cause and effect, competition and compares characters. This book was very entertaining because of Dylan's attitude and his creativity about dealing with his envy of his fellow student. ( )
