Waiting for something is not always great - especially when you're a reader and, you know, you want the next book of that freaking amazing new series you discovered to be OUT ALREADY and stuff? But I find that it's with books like this one, that patience is really worth it. Because the result is sooooo much more than you expected.

I was obsessed with Scott getting his own book ever since he was introduced. In fact, I do recall begging for it, picking up the vibes between him and Alison.

I knew he was gonna be one HOT hunk in the pages. I knew Ainsley Booth manages to write deliciously dirty romance that somehow never offends me (I've got a huuuuge pet peeve list and it's easy to irritate me with stories, trust me) - after all, I stuck with Hailey and Cole to the end of their story and I usually hate couples that need more than one book to get officially together. That all shoud have prepared me for the awesomeness that was Booty Call.

It did - in a way.

But it also didn't.

Because this story was much more than I had hoped! It had a dark, mysterious, and caustic hunk as the lead. It had a sassy heroine - who at some points I liked even more than her sister - who had no trouble verbally sparring with a guy so much older than her. It had romance and sexualy tension and oh-so-yummy scenes but didn't let the reader forget: there is still suspicion in that universe, there are still some matters that need to be solved.

The only downside to all this was maaaaybe Alison. I loved her when she was being that girl who was uber smart and totally mature in knowing what she wanted, not regretting it and even managing to stick to what most GUYS do nowadays, no-strings sex. She was perfect. Not that I'm against romantics, I'm one myself, but it's refreshing to have a heroine that says "no feelings" and sticks to it.

All fine and dandy until the "incident" - I'm not telling what that is, cause, yes, no spoilers for this author's books! It wouldn't be fair, her talent needs to be sampled! In any case, after the "incident", Ali decided that "hmmm, ok, maybe Scott was right, maybe the age gap is too much and that freaks me out".

Uh... No. No, no, stop talking! Not a word!

I simply cannot STAND it when things get serious and someone - especially the one who gave the first push - decides that, nope, this is not for me, I'm outta here. You don't get to say that. You don't get to pull out now. With the exception of serious abuse, everything else is up to discussion, and my dear Scott, boy, did he want to discuss. After she started acting out, I seriously felt sorry for the guy!

That aside, Ali's bratty atittude didn't last long, so I still managed to enjoy the rest of the book and be extremely sad when it was over. Now I'm here, waiting for Wilson.....
