I think the series peaked at "Cobra Commander."

I appreciate the humour and to a degree the sheer wackiness of the setting. At some point though, it starts to wear at you that there's really not enough substance to carry you through the dick jokes. ( )

Intriguing start to the series collecting the first four issues. I went in cold and there are some really good stop you in your tracks moments as it delights in the counter-intuitive. It also has some of the most astonishingly filthy dialogue this side of Garth Ennis that had me giggling like a teenager discovering Pulp Fiction for the first time. I will look out for the next two volumes in the series. ( )

The antihero protagonists are just not charming enough to carry this story. It's just bad people doing bad things to other bad people and any innocent folks unfortunate enough to be caught in the crossfire. It's too silly to be a grim and gritty crime story and not nearly funny enough to be an action comedy. ( )

Not even Deadpool has caused me to laugh quite like this. ( )
