This was adorable and sexy and made me laugh with the two leads relationship. And the obstacles keeping the couple apart weren't too hard to overcome nor too easy. ( ) For me the measure of a good book is never wanting to say goodbye. There are stories that just wrap around a reader to the point that the book becomes like an addiction. You never want to put it down. When a Marquess Loves a Woman was mine. Max and Juliet's relationship is all encompassing. Taking on many stages, it's intensity keeps drawing them back to each other. An enchantment built on something beautiful takes on a life of it's own ricocheting between a powerful love, a heated attraction or a consuming hate. Obsessive, vindictive, heartbreaking or passionate Juliet and Max are a temptation that can't be denied. When a decision is taken out of a young women's hands, to save her family, she has to give up everything she longs for! This is what happened to Juliet White, after she wasn't named the original for the season and found in the arms of Maxwell Harwick. But instead of marrying Max and living happily ever after; Juliet went to an older wealthy Lord, whom could not only save her from ruin, but save her family from prison. But now Juliet is back in London; a wealthy widow, with many hidden secrets. But in all of her time away, Juliet has never forgotten that one kiss that has meant everything to her, but Max will not forgive her for leaving him and breaking his heart. Instead they enter into a wager! But just when Max and Juliet seem to be working past their problems, someone from their past returns to the ton, and everything they have worked for jeopardizes everything they have achieved. I have been looking forward to this book, since we first met Max and Juliet in The Debutant is Mine, and I will admit, I have been desperate to find out all of their story, and this book was even more than my expectations. Vivienne Lorret's stories never fail to worm their way into your heart! From the writing, plot and characters, there is nothing I don't like about this book! When it comes to the characters, they are as well developed and endearing as they have been in the other books, but maybe a little more, seen as you now get to hear their full side of the story. When I first read about Max, I thought that maybe he was a spoilt and pompous Marquess, whom just wanted to get back at Juliet. But in this book you find that he has always had to play second fiddle to his brother, leaving him to not feel good enough, even to have the women of his dreams. My opinion of Juliet's character didn't really change with this book; I thought that there is a painful past, that she kept hidden, I just didn't realize how much, until I got into this book. When a Marquess Loves a Women is a beautiful book, that is very easy to fall into and never want to leave. It is one of my favorite books from this author, but I don't recommend it as a stand alone, mainly because you would miss out on all of the fun and games between Juliet and Max in the other two books in this series. And to tell you the truth, the other two books are a must read, as their stories are equally amazing! Heck! Just read every book Vivienne Lorret has ever written! They are all amazing and trust me, you won't be sorry! I give A Marquess Loves a Woman 5 stars This is book three of the Season’s Original series and we finally get to Max and Juliet's happily ever after. Even though each of these stories in the series can be read as a stand alone, I think I had much better grasp and understanding of all the characters as I read it in order. I'm a sucker for a second chance romance tropes and this one was well told and I thought the characters were fun and entertaining. The chemistry between the leads was spot on. I hope you read it. I know you'll love it if you do! Melanie for b2b Complimentary copy provided by the publisher This Marquess had to wait but he got his Lady or could it be that the Lady got her man.y. I have to admit that the prologue got me riled up. I wanted to skewer Juliet. I was heartbroken for Max. Five years later, things have a way of coming back and opening doors when least expected. On starts the banter, the witty humor, the brains to brawn, the high stakes wagers, the plotting and daring arrangements. Juliet and Max have been parted by five years and life but the love between the two has not diminished. I felt as if it had strengthened. You will open a door to fun and laughs. Hot, sexy (not smutty) romantic interludes. I look forward to more from the Season’s Original. Gemme has a special place in my heart. I hope she is next up. I did enjoy visiting the other couple from the series. I love the way the all come together in the end. Seeing possibilities was delightful. I love reading Vivienne’s romances there is always a little something of magic within. The hero and heroine seem to have that magic around them and it just draws you in also. Battle they may but they come back to each other stronger. Vivienne has never let me down. I love reading her historical romances. Each one brings something different to the forefront. She imparts something of a historical note. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

As a young, penniless gentleman, Maxwell Harwick knew he had little to offer Juliet White-the most beautiful debutante of the season-except his love, and one thoroughly scandalous kiss. But when they were discovered in a compromising position, a nearly ruined Juliet fled into the arms of a rich, older lord... taking Max's heart with her. Now a widow, Lady Juliet Granworth intends to use the fortune she inherited from her odious husband to build a new life in London. Five years have passed, but she's never forgotten Max... or his soul-searing kiss. Yet it's clear the newly-minted Marquess of Thayne has not forgiven her-after all, the infuriating man can barely stand the sight of her. But Juliet has endured far too much to give up without a fight and if it's a battle of wills he wants, it's a battle he'll get. He hates her for breaking his heart. She detests him for destroying her future. But beneath all the loathing simmers an intoxicating passion that neither can ignore... and the harder they resist, the harder they will inevitably fall.
