Hard as steel... and hotter still! Never mess with a woman who carries a blowtorch in her backpack. Welder and artist Veronica "Flash" Redding's playful sense of evil sometimes gets the better of her. Like when her insanely handsome, wealthy, suited-up boss gave her the most sensuously wicked night of her life... then dumped her. Yep, revenge is a dish best served hot. Only Ian Asher isn't letting Flash get away quite so easily. He's not ready to forget the intensity between them. The searing heat when they touch. And the deliciously demanding control Ian wields in the bedroom. Now he has only the holidays to convince Flash that they belong together... and that even the most exquisite, broken things can be welded back together.… (mehr)

The final in the holiday novella trilogy! These were fun and sexy reads, taking place in the Pacific Northwest. I was a little concerned about the boss/employee dynamic at first but that was swiftly rectified. Of all the power dynamics in romance, boss/employee just makes me so anxious lol

I loved that the leading lady was a welder and although she wanted to appear tough as nails, she was a kind and sweet person.

If you only have time for novella-length romance packed with steam, this trilogy is here for you ☺️ ( )

A second-chance romance story, set near Mt. Hood, in Oregon. This series has been so much fun to read. Even though this one is set at Christmastime, it isn't much of a holiday read as far as plot goes. Which is okay, because it's still a lot of fun. Flash is a female welder and artist who is struggling to launch her career in sculpting; Ian is the wealthy heir to a huge construction empire. These two shouldn't really work together given their very different lives, but that doesn't matter when they decide to try and reconnect. A little more insta-lovey than the previous two in this series, with lots of fun banter and humor.

Light on the Christmas, heavy on the steam. Works perfectly for a light, fun weekend read, which is how I've read this trilogy over the past three weekends. ( )

I enjoyed this read but not as much as the previous two “Men at Work” books. There was a bit too much going on here; I think that the purpose was because the leads were already in love, so a lot of other things had to be thrown in for some tension. The Hanukkah and Christmas mix was nice, and I wish it had been expanded on. ( )

Forget that frosty nip in the air. One Hot December will warm your senses with the flash fame going on between Ian and Veronica. Neither one likes to give up control, but the body language and the chemistry going on says that trouble is on the horizon. Watching to see what happens next is a temptation all it's own. Flash is so extreme and Ian is so controlled that explosion could be a real possibility. Tiffany Reisz makes naughty look fun with One Hot December. Wicked has never looked so delicious. The Men at Work trilogy series is just the remedy for those stubborn winter blues.

Tiffany Reisz, man. This was absolutely fabulous. I am seriously amazed by how much character depth she can create in just 200 (mass market paperback sized) pages. It's been a while, and I am a little rusty, but I am going to do a full review for my romance blog and I'll link it here when it's up. ( )
